This is how I imagine my two-year-old grandson thinks as he rides his rocky horse. He is out in the desert with the calves; he's a little calf himself! This 14" x 11" gouache painting, "Home on the Range", recently won Honorable Mention in the Turner Acryl Gouache/Jerry's Artarama National Competition.
January also brought the unexpected.... dealing with breast cancer. I've had more doctors' appointments in the past month than in my whole life. I had a lump which I named "Sponge Bob", after my grandson's knitted finger puppet. Sponge Bob is gone now; he lives in a jar at the hospital, waiting for analysis. I am trying to remain cheerful and positive; it's the only way to deal with this. I am so grateful for all the loving thoughts and prayers that have been sent my way. I can feel their positive energy!
